If you are not familiar with firearms and are not prepared to use them against another human being, DO NOT CARRY ONE!
Use whatever you are comfortable with. Stun gun, knife, pepper spray, club, roll of nickels in a sock, sharp stick, whatever. Anything can be a weapon in trained hands.
If you are not comfortable with any type of weapon, take a really good unarmed self-defense course.
Remember, the most dangerous and successful weapon on earth is between your ears. Use your brain.
